who we are
NCLC is a network of networks. Through Affiliate Organizations, our collaborative is able to connect with over 1,000 community leadership organizations throughout the country - educating over 25,000 leaders per year in their flagship programs alone. It is by leading with and through others that we can scale the impact of these organizations and see the ripple through communities across the nation.
A Steering Committee leads the work of NCLC, comprised of the leaders of community leadership organizations from across the U.S. They are supported by an Advisory Board of business and community executives, with decades of experience leading significant advancements in their respective industries and regions.

Affiliate organizations
What does it mean to be an Affiliate?
Our affiliates include a collective of forward-leading community leadership programs across the country. They have a shared belief that united national resources and strategies can amplify our ability to grow more and better civic leaders at a local level. These organizations have committed to sharing local data to track the social impact of community leadership programs on a national scale and participate in program expansion opportunities.
To find out more about adding your local community leadership program to our list of collaborators, please email Wendy Thomas at wendy@wendythomas.org.
If you are a CLP leader or staffer seeking a network of peers for connections, best-practice sharing, and an outstanding annual conference, check out the Association of Leadership Programs (ALP) at www.alpleaders.org. NCLC steering committee members are all proud members and active participants of ALP.
